Palpatine's kidnapping..

Okay there was a thread a couple of weeks back about the true purpose
of Palpatine's kidnapping at the start of ROTS. (or at least the plan
that Dooku was led to believe, before he realised he was betrayed by
Sidious)

What did Dooku think the plan was? Can't find the post in
google..(and I'm too tight to buy the novel ;) )

What did Dooku think the plan was? Can't find the post in

Dooku thought that he'd kill Obi-Wan, that he and Sideous would be able
to turn Anakin to the dark side and they'd try to convert other Jedi to
form a Sith army. He also thought that he'd be thrown into prison due to
Anakin's heroics and then some months later he'd denounce the
Separatists, the war would end and the Sith would rule the galaxy.

Don't you think it's kinda sad that they'd fill in the blanks between the
movies with a cartoon series?

Palpatine was actually kidnapped during the Clone Wars (in the Clone Wars
animated series on Cartoon Network).

The kidnapping also takes place in that book that was released right before
the movie. I forget the name right now. And the events in the book are
slightly different than the events shown on the cartoon series.
